OCN level 3 Introduction to Woodland Management

21–22 April


Completely redesigned in line with new Forestry Commission Guidelines, this two day course will give you the background knowledge to enable you manage your woodland sustainably. You will learn:

  • Assessing the resource
  • Protecting the resource
  • Managing the resource
  • Producing timber
  • Keeping it legal
  • Thinking about the future

The course is classroom based at the Green Wood Centre with visits to different local woodlands.

The tutor Jim Waterson has many years experience as a Woodland Manager and is a Senior Lecturer at Harper Adams University. The course will be tailored to individuals needs and participants are encouraged to bring and share details of woodlands they are familiar with.
