This weekend will include a taster of lots of practical woodland crafts and skills.
The weekend is suitable for anyone wishing to get more basic understanding of woodlands and their management and have a go at woodcraft which you can do alone or share with others of all ages.
Participants will camp in the woodland and cook and share food around the camp fire, and will be expected to bring their own tent and all personal equipment.
Your experience leaders will be Richard Thomason and Steve Evison.
About the tutors:
Steve has worked as a forester and an ecologist, as well as many rural development positions and for the last 20 plus years as a consultant (as well as renovating and running a smallholding and setting up a national wild camping club). He has taught at many levels from practical courses through to academia, including Oxford University and Stellenbosch Universities. He is an eco-preneur with a passion for wild places and exploring our relationship with the natural world.
