Woodland Management Plans

This course is aimed at owners of small woodlands who are keen to learn how to create their own woodland management plan suitable to gain Forestry commission approval.

Course participants will be taught how to use myForest, an online web tool, designed to help woodland owners and managers, produce management plans.  The system allows users to map their woodlands, add information and produce management plans using Forestry Commission England’s Template

The course will cover the whole management planning process including:

  • Creating a myForest account,
  • how to map a woodland area,
  • adding data and creating work programmes
  • generate a management plan and associated map

This course is a collaboration with the Sylva Foundation and will be delivered at Harper Adams University.
