Visit the award-winning Woodland Skills Centre in north-east Wales.
10am – 4pm
The Centre has 50 acres of woodland and has received gold medals from the Royal Forestry Society and the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society.
The woodland is in the heart of the Clwydian Range AONB near to the Offa’s Dyke long distance footpath.
The woodland is managed for people, wildlife and profit and the Centre runs around 60 craft courses a year as well as events for children and families and a wide-ranging Social Forestry programme. There are also 6 interesting timber-frame buildings which have been built over the last few years.
The day will focus on the management of the woodlands and the role of timber and non-timber income.
Visitors are welcome to camp at the Centre free of charge after the event; let us know when you book if you wish to take this up.
