A tour of this unique Ancient Semi-Natural Woodland and Site of Nature Conservation Interest will be conducted by its owners, Philip and Pamela Glyn. The morning will be spent examining rotational hazel coppice within permanent deer fencing completed in Spring 2012 and comparable areas of woodland only deer fenced last winter. In the afternoon, Reader in Ecology at Sussex University, wildlife author and president of Sussex Wildlife Trust, David Streeter, will talk on Ancient Woodland and take questions. An optional tour of part of Mills Rocks SSSI and our meadow managed for wild flowers, both on-site, will be available. A buffet lunch and refreshments will be provided.
