Sustainable Woodland Management AIM L3
- The Green Wood Centre
- 03 Feb 2025 - 05 Feb 2025
Learn new skills, make new friends and help us maintain our beautiful Green Wood Centre site in the Ironbridge Gorge.
We value the great support which volunteers provide and without them we would not be able to operate as we do today. Our volunteers work mainly on site, but also at local woodlands and community projects close by.
Volunteering is renowned for skill development, socialisation, and fun. So whether you want to improve your CV, make friends, or give something back, making the move to volunteer could be the best decision you ever make.
Volunteers will help with general site improvement tasks (maintenance, fencing, some practical woodland management and the related crafts and skills).
No previous skills or experience are necessary, just enthusiasm, a good work ethic, and willingness to work as part of a team.
Read through the information on volunteering and fill out an online application here.
We will get in touch and invite you to attend one of our volunteer days as a trial. Please contact [email protected] for more details.
We can offer a variety of activities to help local companies meet their corporate social responsibility commitments.
We can offer practical tasks to encourage team building which also help our charitable work with local communities. Activities may include building paths, felling trees, chopping firewood. We are looking for a local company to take on our permaculture garden. This was designed by Ben Law and created with volunteers nearly 20 years ago – it needs bringing up to date.
Our stunning Woodland Hall is always available for lunch and conferences as part of a teambuilding or away day.
