Join us to welcome renowned ancient tree expert and Lost Woods colleague, Bob Epsom to learn about the importance of ancient, veteran and notable trees in woodlands.

Bob, an outreach advisor for the Woodland Trust, will be discussing how valuable these trees are, their ecological importance, and how they can differ from open grown ancient trees that are found in habitats such as parklands. He will also introducing the Ancient Tree Inventory, explaining how to survey your own prominent trees and filling us in on how the Lost Woods project has the bold plan of finding every ancient, veteran, and notable tree in Sussex!
