Carbon is the talk of the town at the moment, with lots of interest and speculation surrounding the monetisation of this ecosystem service. But confusion persists in many of the discussions surrounding carbon markets and, especially, the prices being achieved in the sale of carbon credits.
In this talk, Matthew Hay will be giving an overview of carbon markets, before exploring the UK’s woodland carbon market in more depth, outlining the key principles that under-pin it and the different ways in which woodland owners can derive income from their trees’ carbon sequestration.
