Thursday 22nd June at 2pm
Join Small Woods' Chris Keeler to explore the sweet chestnut woodlands of the South-East and discuss the history, craft and application of ‘the miracle tree’. Chris will be talking about how the sweet chestnut shaped the rural economy in large parts of south-east England as well as the modern uses for coppiced sweet chestnut, current pressures on the species, and how your grandparents probably wouldn’t have enjoyed a glass of beer without it! It’s more than just in your stuffing at Christmas!
This event will be run online through Teams and is exclusive to our members. Please supply your membership number when booking.
