Dave will discuss the management plan for Brede High Woods, a Woodland Trust site since 2007 that is ancient and semi natural woodland and is situated in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. He will discuss topics within the management plan such as PAWS restoration, coppicing and open habitats, as well has a brief history of the woods and of their historical importance.
Brede is part ancient semi-natural woodland (9 named woods) and part secondary woodland, some long-established. This means there is a wide variety of woodland types, tree species and management history. Approximately a third of site is under conifers.
Free parking is available, and more details will be shared with people who have a confirmed place and closer to the event itself.
