'Woodlands into Management’ is a series of events organized and facilitated by the Small Woods Association in partnership with small woodland owners and workers across the country.
These 1-day events aim to encourage and inspire woodland owners and managers to bring woodlands into sustainable management and overcome potential barriers. Each session will provide training, advice, and discussion on a specific aspect of the woodland management process, with experienced guest speakers offering insights.
Join us on Monday 29th July at Broadleaf Wales for an introduction to managing a productive broadleaf woodland under continuous cover forestry.
Planted 20-years ago, this 20-hectare woodland is already showing impressive results and won the ‘Best of the Best’ RFS excellence in Forestry Award (Small and Farm Woodland Category) in 2022. The day will include a ‘walk and talk’, in which the owners will discuss how to manage a small woodland for quality broadleaf timber production.
Thanks to FSC funding, these events are heavily subsidised and run at low-cost. Places are available on a first come first served basis, so book now to avoid missing out!
