Spend a day working in the woods at the Green Wood Centre, practicing the ancient woodland management technique of coppicing – cutting & processing small diameter trees with simple hand tools to let the light back into a given area of the wood. Coppicing enriches biodiversity and generates a useful local resource.

Techniques for safely felling small diameter trees with hand-tools
