Make your own traditional-style shave-horse using green ash for components and a sawn ash board for the shave-horse body. This course can be quite physically demanding.  It requires you to learn and work through a range of green woodworking processes and tasks in a short space of time.  Hopefully by the end of it, you will have developed a broad green woodworking foundation, and a useable shave-horse to take home and learn more!

How to cleave and shape green wood components using a froe, side-axe, and drawknife 

How to select and prepare a sawn ash board for your shave-horse body 

Basic shave-horse ‘ergonomics’ 

How to assemble your shave-horse 

How to use your shave-horse, time-permitting!
